Injector Cleaning & Testing Service

The Injector Cleaning & Inspection Service is vital as it ensures the optimal performance and longevity of the injectors. This thorough process removes any contaminants, tests the injectors for any issues, and replaces worn out parts, ultimately improving the overall efficiency of your vehicle.

  1. We start by cleaning the injectors externally, inspecting them visually, and assigning them unique numbers.

  2. We then test the injectors for resistance, shorts, and current draw.

  3. Injectors undergo leak testing, spray pattern observation, resistance measurement during operation, and flow testing, using our specialized flow benches. The outcomes of these tests are duly recorded.

  4. We remove filter baskets, o-rings, pintle caps, and so on, and bead-blast any paint and rust from the metal injector body.

  5. Next, the injectors are placed in our first ultrasonic cleaning tank, which removes any exterior particles or grease that could contaminate the subsequent cleaning processes.

  6. The injectors are moved to a second, temperature-controlled ultrasonic tank. Here, they are cycled on and off, allowing ultrasonic energy to displace any internal particles or buildup.

  7. The injectors are then placed in a third ultrasonic tank, where they undergo further cleaning with a different cleaning solution. Again, the injectors are cycled on and off to ensure thorough cleaning. This three-tank, dual-solution cleaning process ensures the removal of any particles or contaminants.

  8. We perform a high-pressure back-flush to remove any remaining internal particles.

  9. The injectors are returned to the flow bench for retesting. We check the spray pattern, flow rate, coil resistance, and leakage. If any injectors do not perform well, they are cleaned and retested as many times as necessary. The data from these tests are also recorded.

  10. We install new filter baskets, o-rings, seals, and pintle caps (where applicable).

  11. Finally, we prepare a detailed report with before and after test data. The injectors, along with any replaced parts, are then packaged for return.
