Injector
Cleaning

This is a picture that shows the difference between the service on the injector and after.

We provide a thorough injector cleaning and flow testing service for $23 per injector.

To ship your injectors to us, please follow the instructions on our Shipping Instructions page.

Our Cleaning and Testing Process

Our comprehensive 11-step process includes:

  1. External cleaning, visual inspection, and numbering of injectors.

  2. Testing of injectors for resistance, shorts, and current draw.

  3. Leak testing, spray pattern analysis, operation resistance, and flow testing on our specialized flow benches. The test results are recorded.

  4. Removal of filter baskets, o-rings, pintle caps, etc. and bead-blasting of paint and rust from metal injector body.

  5. Placement of injectors in our first ultrasonic cleaning tank to remove exterior contaminants.

  6. Cycling of injectors in our second temperature-controlled ultrasonic tank to dislodge any internal particles and build-up.

  7. Additional cleaning in our third ultrasonic tank with a different cleaning solution, with injectors cycled on and off. This three-tank, two-solution process ensures thorough cleaning.

  8. High-pressure back-flush to remove any remaining internal particles.

  9. Retesting of spray pattern, flow rate, coil resistance, and leak checking on the flow bench. Any injectors not performing optimally are re-cleaned and retested as needed.

  10. Installation of new filter baskets, o-rings, seals, and pintle caps (where applicable)

  11. Preparation of a comprehensive test report with before and after data. The cleaned injectors, along with the old parts, are then packed for return.

Here's an example of a typical injector before and after the cleaning process. The old parts on the right have been replaced.
